A thriving community means a thriving Dharma, and a thriving Dharma might just mean a transformed world.
Why join as a member?
Pacific Zen Institute is a membership organization — regular donations from members are the primary way we support our teachers, develop and fund programs, and pay for scholarships, rent, materials, and staff. You are how we're able to do almost everything we do.
You may find that becoming a member deepens your practice. Community is an integral part of Zen practice. It is good to have companions on the roads.
What membership includes
- Unlimited access to the KALPA — PZI’s vast archive of dharma talks, articles, audio, video, and art, dating back to 1989
- Regular individual work with a PZI teacher, in person, by phone, or by email
- Free attendance at Open Temple morning meditations, Monday through Friday
- Discounts on most PZI events, retreats, CDs, and books
- A place on the PZI Talk email list, PZI’s ongoing online discussion community
"PZI is unlike anything I've ever met. I'd been meditating a few years before I discovered PZI, sitting with various schools. A lot of the time, my practice felt like chewing rocks and trudging through the hours…"
— Amanda Boughton, PZI member since 2018
